Representative Netball

Banyule & Districts Netball Association runs representative netball teams in ages u/11 to u/17.

Trials are open to any players wishing to try out.

All player eligibility to participate in BDNA trials is in accordance with Netball Victoria and BDNA guidelines and exemptions.

Only players who try out may be selected for the teams. All candidates will be advised after the completion of the trial period as to whether they have successfully been selected for a BDNA representative position. Selection decisions are final. Unsuccessful candidates may be put into a squad list and may be asked to attend training sessions/tournaments on various occasions.

Expected Commitments of Selected Players

All players are expected to participate in all scheduled training and match events. The squads will train Monday nights at the Banyule Netball Stadium (times to be advised). Non Attendance at training (without prior notification to the coach) or Non-payment of fees by the due date, may result in the player not taking the court and may jeopardize the player’s position within the BDNA squad.

U/15, U/17 and Open Teams will compete in selected divisions of the Parkville competition at the State Netball Hockey Centre weekly, and at some full day tournaments throughout the year. U/11 & U/13 teams will compete in approximately 7-9 full day tournaments throughout the year. The U/13 teams may also be entered into the Parkville competition if positions are available.

Banyule & District Representative team players are required to commit to ONE full year (February - December).
