POSITION: Onsite Competition Co-ordinator 

POSITION OUTLINE: To provide operational and administrative support for the BDNA domestic  Saturday competition. This position includes administration support in conjunction with the appointed  Office Administrator and requires the candidate to develop and maintain BDNA’s media platforms.  


WAGES: $32.50 per hour  

EXPECTED HOURS: Saturday during domestic season 8.00am – 5.00pm 

The Banyule & Districts Netball Association is located in Macleod at NETS stadium, in the north eastern suburbs of Melbourne. We are an affiliated member of Netball Victoria.  

The BDNA currently has a successful junior competition running on Saturdays, a senior competition  on Thursday evenings and a flourishing NetSetGo program. In addition, we have a highly regarded  representative program with teams ranging from Under 11 to open sections. These teams compete at  Parkville and Association tournaments throughout the year. The BDNA is proud to be associated with  the North East Blaze Netball Club. 

NETS Stadium has four indoor courts and two fully covered outdoor courts. 

We are currently seeking a motivated netball enthusiast to coordinate the Saturday domestic  competition. The successful applicant will support and liaise with the Competition Co-ordinator and  the Umpires’ Co-ordinator to provide an efficient and effective domestic competition for members of  the BDNA on Saturdays. 

Strong communication skills will be highly regarded as this position will report to the BDNA board  through the Competition Co-ordinator. The applicant will need to be able to communicate with  umpires, players, coaches and other members of the BDNA during the domestic competition held on  Saturdays. They will also need to effectively communicate with both the Competition Co-ordinator,  the Umpire Co-ordinator, the Office Administrator and any other BDNA staff. 

Ability to prepare venues for competition, including movement of equipment and supporting COVID  safety measures is required. 

Training in Netball Connect will be provided.  

Experience with media platforms including websites, Facebook and Instagram will be highly regarded. Current First Aid training is preferred but can be acquired after employment, funded by the BDNA. Working with Children visas and Police Checks are required. 

This position will formally commence in early 2022 with side by side training available in the latter part  of 2021 (COVID restrictions allowing).
