The Banyule & Districts Netball Association (BDNA) was established in 1955 with the goal of providing young people in the Banyule community with the opportunity to participate in netball. More than 70 years later, BDNA continues to be one of Melbourne's leading community netball associations, delivering inclusive, welcoming and competitive netball opportunities.

All BDNA competitions, programs and events are held at the NETS Stadium Banyule in Macleod, which opened in May 2003 and features four indoor courts and two undercover outdoor courts. Affiliated with Netball Victoria, BDNA provides a safe and enjoyable environment for players, coaches, umpires, volunteers and families to participate in the sport.

BDNA is governed by a dedicated volunteer Board and supported by a number of committees, competition management staff, umpires and volunteers who work together to ensure the successful operation of the Association. Please click here to learn more about the people who help make BDNA possible.

Our Association delivers a wide range of netball programs and competitions designed to cater for all levels of experience. Whether participants are looking to develop their skills through competitive netball or enjoy the social and community aspects of the game, BDNA provides opportunities for everyone.

From NetSetGo (ages 5+) through to junior domestic and representative netball, BDNA offers a clear participation and development pathway for players throughout their netball journey. Through domestic competition, representative programs, umpire development and coaching opportunities, players can continue to grow and progress within the sport. BDNA is committed to the development of players, coaches and officials. We actively encourage coaches to undertake Netball Victoria accreditation programs to ensure participants receive high-quality coaching and support from the beginning of their netball experience.
